If you walk into the Shri Swami Samarth Complex in Chakan, you’ll find us right there on the ground floor at Shop No 1. It’s near the Satguru Complex, so it’s easy to find if you know the area. The air inside usually smells like sandalwood, turmeric, and various dried herbs. We have rows of jars and bottles filled with oils and powders that we use every day. People come to us from all over Chakan, usually complaining about things like stiff joints, skin rashes, or stomach troubles that won’t go away. We spend a lot of time listening to them talk about their habits and how they feel. It’s a slower pace here than at a big hospital. We might suggest a certain oil rub or a change in what someone eats. The shop isn’t very large, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need into the space. There are a couple of wooden chairs for people to sit on while they wait. We’ve been in this complex for a bit, and we know the other shop owners around us. Sometimes we’re just chatting with a regular who stopped in to rest their feet. It’s a simple life, working with plants and traditional methods. We don’t use any fancy machines, just our hands and the knowledge passed down. It’s a quiet way to help the folks in the community get through their day-to-day aches.
