Indian Lifters

You’ll find us right across from Hotel Maharajah at Ambethan Chowk on the Chakan-Nashik Road. This intersection stays busy with heavy trucks passing through on their way to Nashik all day. Our yard is usually full of lifting equipment and big metal frames that take up a lot of space. Because the equipment is so big, we spend most of our time working outside under the sun. It gets quite dusty with all the traffic, so we are always cleaning off our tools before we use them. We’ve been in Chakan for a good while now, watching the area grow into what it is today. We handle a lot of lifting gear, making sure things are sturdy and safe for use. It’s heavy work and can be quite tiring by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you come to see us, you’ll likely find us in the middle of the yard with a wrench or a welding torch. We talk to the truck drivers who stop nearby and sometimes they come over to ask for help with a repair. We aren't big on talk or empty promises. We just look at what needs to be done and we do it. The wind can get pretty strong out here on the road, blowing dust everywhere, but we just keep at it. It’s just a small team of us trying to do a good job for the people who stop by.
