Our place, Imperial Forge, is situated at Ambethan Nehru Chowk 104. It’s a bit of an older building, but it serves us well. Working in a forge means it is always hot and there is a lot of banging noise from the hammers. You get used to it after a while, but visitors always seem a bit surprised by the heat. We have a small crew that has been with us for a long time. We don't have any fancy corporate titles here; everyone just pitches in where they are needed. Most of the work involves metal and heat, so it is a pretty tough environment. The floor is always covered in iron dust and scraps. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the parts we forge are solid. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the whole night fixing it. That’s just part of the life here at Nehru Chowk. We get our materials delivered early in the morning, and the rhythm of the shop starts right away. It’s a lot of sweat and hard work, but there is something good about seeing the finished metal cooling down at the end of the shift. We are just a local forge doing what we know how to do, day in and day out. It is honest work and we take it as it comes.
