Working at Nehru Place 115 is a bit different than other parts of Delhi. Zenwin Motor Parts Pvt Ltd is where we are every day. Even though it says Pvt Ltd on the papers, it is just a few of us in a room full of motor components. Nehru Place is famous for computers but there are lots of us doing other things too. We have shelves that go up high and we use a ladder to reach the top. There is a lot of noise from the main plaza outside. We keep a small radio on the shelf to hear the news. The floor is concrete and we have a few plastic chairs for when people come to talk business. We spend a lot of time checking numbers on boxes. Motor parts are heavy and the cardboard gets soft in the humidity. We have a small desk with a computer that we use for the accounts. It is a functional space. We don't have any fancy displays. People come here because they know we have the parts they need. We eat our lunch at the desk most days. The hallways in this building are a bit dark but we have good lights inside. We keep the door closed when it is too noisy outside. It is just a steady job of keeping track of gears and valves. We stay until the evening when the crowds start to thin out.
