Wazir Scooter House

If you go down Hari Singh Nalwa Street to 1139/10, you’ll find Wazir Scooter House. We’ve been focusing on scooters for a long time. The shop is filled with various bits and pieces for two-wheelers, from mirrors to engine components. It’s often quite oily on the floor because we’re always taking things out of boxes to show people. We don't really have a fancy display window; we just put some of the common parts out where people can see them. My hands are usually a bit dirty by midday from handling the metal parts. We get a lot of regulars who stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question about a noise their scooter is making. It’s a tight space, so we have to be organized, though it might not look like it to a stranger. The tea stall nearby brings us cups a few times a day, which is how we keep going. We don’t use any complicated computer systems here; most of what we know is kept in our heads or written down in a big ledger. It’s a noisy part of town, with horns honking and people shouting, but we’re used to it. We just focus on getting the right parts to the people who need them so they can get back to their commute. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s ours and we’ve been doing it a while. We stay busy with the local scooter owners who need help.
