Waakh Foundation

You’ll find Waakh Foundation tucked away on Ansari Road in Darya Ganj. We are spread across a couple of ground floor units, 4427-28 and 7/7. Darya Ganj is a historic part of New Delhi, and it’s always buzzing with people and traffic. Our space is pretty basic. We have shelves full of old files and some worn-out chairs for visitors. It’s not a quiet place by any means, especially with the street noise coming in all day. We’ve been working from this spot for a while now. Most of our day is spent coordinating different projects. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a handful of us who care about the work we do. Sometimes the power goes out, or the internet is slow, and we just have to deal with it. We handle a lot of the local outreach ourselves. It feels good to be right in the middle of the city where everything is happening. We don't really follow a strict corporate schedule; we just stay until the work is finished for the day. People drop in to chat or ask for advice, and we do what we can to point them in the right direction. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the papers and folders, but we know where everything is. We just want to keep doing what we're doing here in Darya Ganj without too much fuss. It's a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes.
