You can find us at Sant Nagar DHURUVADI 5678, which is the spot where we do all our fruit business. It’s basically a lot of crates and a lot of counting every single day. The morning starts way before the sun is even up because that is when the big trucks come in from the main mandi. We have to unload everything, check what the mangoes or the apples look like, and get them sorted out. The floor stays a bit sticky because of the fruit juice and some crushed pieces that fall, but we sweep it when there is a break. It’s a busy place with a lot of people shouting back and forth to get things moved quickly. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just stacks of wooden and plastic boxes everywhere you look. Sometimes the smell of overripe fruit is really strong, especially when the weather gets hot in the afternoon. We just sit on the wooden benches and wait for the local vendors to come buy their stock for the day. It’s a lot of manual work, carrying heavy boxes on our shoulders and making sure the math is right in the old ledger books. We have been at this address for some time now, so people around here know where to find us. There isn't much to it, just buying and selling fruit and trying to keep the inventory moving before anything spoils in the heat.
