Our shop is located at 29/1538 in the Naiwala area of Karol Bagh. If you know this part of the city, you know how narrow the lanes are and how many spare parts shops are packed together. We are one of those small places that has been around for quite some time. The walls are lined with boxes, most of them looking exactly the same to someone who doesn't work here. We spend our days identifying different types of valves, gaskets, and other engine components. It is very technical but also quite dirty work. Our hands are usually covered in some kind of oil or dust. We don't have a showroom with glass displays; it’s more about functionality. You ask for a part, and we go find it in the stacks. Sometimes we have to climb a ladder to get to the top shelf where the older stock is kept. The street outside is always full of mechanics and delivery guys on bikes. It can be quite overwhelming if you aren't used to the chaos. We drink a lot of tea to keep ourselves going throughout the day. We don't really have a boss in a suit; we all just pitch in and do what needs to be done. It’s a straightforward way of making a living in a very busy market. We’ve been here so long that we can practically find parts in the dark.
