United Furniture

United Furniture is located at A-41 on Street No. 6 in the Anand Prabat Industrialarea. If you come down this way, you’ll know it’s a place where things actually get built. The street is usually filled with the sounds of machinery and people working. Our workshop is much like the others around here. We have stacks of wood and the smell of sawdust is pretty much constant. It’s not a clean or quiet showroom like you might find in a big city center. Instead, it is a space where we cut, sand, and put things together. We spend our hours making sure the joints are tight and the finishes are decent. Being in an industrial area means we are surrounded by other makers and craftsmen. It’s a tough environment sometimes, especially when the weather is hot, but we like the honesty of it. There are no fancy sales pitches here. If someone comes by, they usually want to see how things are made or talk about a specific piece they need. We just show them what we are working on at the moment. Our address is easy to find once you get into the industrial estate. We keep the tools sharp and the workbench busy. It’s the kind of life where you go home with tired hands, but you can see what you’ve done by the end of the day. It is a real and practical way to live.
