United Auto Spares

Our shop is tucked away on Hari Singh Nalwa Street, specifically at number 1370/20. We’ve got shelves stacked high with all kinds of auto spares, some that have been sitting there for months and others that move the same day they arrive. United Auto Spares isn't the biggest place on the block, but we try to keep a bit of everything on hand. The air in here always smells a bit like rubber and metal. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as much stock as possible into the space we have. You have to watch your step sometimes so you don't trip over a crate or a stray box. We spend a lot of time looking through catalogs and checking part numbers to make sure things match up. Most of the guys working here have been around for years and know exactly where every bolt is kept. We don’t spend much time on decorating the front; we’d rather spend that time organizing the back room. The light flickers a bit in the corner, and the phone rings more often than we can sometimes answer. People usually come in knowing exactly what part they’re looking for, which makes things easier for everyone involved. We just open the shutters in the morning, do our work, and close them up when the sun goes down. It’s a simple routine, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. We might not have the newest shop on the street, but we try to keep what people are looking for in stock.
