Being in Palika Bazar means we are right in the middle of everything in New Delhi. Our shop at number 140 is one of those places that has been around long enough to see a lot of faces pass through. It gets pretty crowded down here under Connaught Place, especially on the weekends when everyone is out looking for deals and walking around the city. We have been running things here, just me and the family, for quite some time now. It is a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on the shelves for our customers. You know how it is in these underground markets, space is always a bit tight. The lights stay on all day and there is always noise from people walking past our doors. We mostly just keep to ourselves and talk to the regulars who have been coming to see us for years. Sometimes the air conditioning is great, other times it's a bit stuffy, but that's just life in the bazaar. We handle all sorts of items, whatever the customers are looking for on that particular day. It's not a big corporate office or anything polished like that. It’s just a shop where we sell things and try to make an honest living. Every day is different, even though the location stays exactly the same. If you are wandering around the market, you might stumble upon us at 140. We’re usually here from morning until the market finally shuts down for the night.
