Trade Corp.

Trade Corp. is on the third floor of Onkar House, over in Darya Ganj. The building address is 4575/15. Darya Ganj is a very old part of the city, and the streets are always packed with people and vendors. Getting up to the third floor is our daily exercise. The office is a bit crowded because we have a lot of files and samples tucked into every corner. It’s not exactly a modern glass-and-steel office. We have old ceiling fans that click a bit, but they keep the air moving. We deal with a lot of different trading tasks. The phone rings quite a bit, and there's usually a lot of shouting across the room to get things done. We don't have any formal meetings or corporate structures. We just talk to each other and figure things out as they come up. Most of the people working here have been friends for a long time. We know each other’s families and often share our lunches. Darya Ganj has a lot of history, and we feel like we’re a small part of that. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just buy and sell and try to keep the margins steady. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or work by the windows. It's a bit chaotic, but it's our way of working and it's worked for us so far. We just hope the fans don't stop on a hot day.
