Down here at S 21A Street No.13, things stay pretty busy most days. We spend a lot of time looking at gearboxes and getting oil on our hands. The shop isn't some fancy showroom; it’s just where the work happens. You’ll find old parts sitting in corners and the smell of transmission fluid is basically part of the building now. People come by with all sorts of issues, and we just dig in. The street outside gets a bit narrow when there are too many trucks, but we make do. It’s a lot of manual stuff, clicking tools, and checking levels. Sometimes the fans are going full blast because it gets stuffy in the back. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and the neighborhood knows the sound of our shutters opening up in the morning. There’s a tea stall not far off where we usually grab something while waiting for a part to arrive. It’s not a quiet place. There is always a wrench dropping or someone revving an engine to see if the shifting feels right yet. We don't have a big front desk or anyone in a suit. It’s just the crew in the back dealing with whatever rolls in. Some days it’s just one long job that takes forever, and other times we’re jumping between three different things.
