Our office is tucked away in the Mata Sundri Place railway quarters. Being in New Delhi means it’s always crowded outside, but our little corner is somewhat manageable. These quarters have that old government feel that hasn't changed much over the years. We spend most of our hours here dealing with whatever comes across the desk. It’s definitely not a flashy place. You can hear the traffic from the main roads nearby, though it’s far enough back that it just sounds like a constant hum in the distance. We have a few desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of folders. The walk from the station isn’t too bad if the weather is okay. Summers are really tough though, because the heat in Delhi is no joke. We usually have a pot of tea going for anyone who needs a cup. People who work here live all over the city, so mornings are always full of talk about the metro delays or the traffic. We don't have a big sign or anything like that. It’s just a place where the daily work happens. Sometimes things get a bit messy when we are in the middle of a big task, but we find what we need eventually. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven’t really gotten around to it yet. It feels like a normal workplace where everyone just does their bit and then goes home to start it all again the next day.
