Tapas Signage is tucked away in the Multani Dhanda area of Paharganj, near the Punjab National Bank. If you know Paharganj, you know how narrow the lanes can be and how much is going on there. Our shop is small, filled with scraps of acrylic, some neon tubes, and a lot of tools. We make signs for other shops, mostly. It could be a simple board or something with lights. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. It’s a bit messy inside because we are always in the middle of a project. I started this after learning the trade from an old master who worked nearby. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy portfolio to show off. Usually, a shop owner from the next street comes over and asks for a new sign, and we get to work. Sometimes the machines act up or we run out of a specific color of paint, so things might take an extra day or two. We are honest with people about that. The noise from the street is constant, but it keeps us energized. We aren’t a big factory; we do everything by hand or with our small cutters. It’s a local business through and through. We work until the job is done, often late into the night when the market quietens down just a little bit. It’s just how things are done here in Multani Dhanda. We don't have a website, just the shop.
