Standox Paint

Our shop is located at 74 Darya Ganj on Shradhanand Marg. If you know Delhi, you know how busy Darya Ganj gets. There’s people everywhere and the noise from the street never really stops. We’ve been selling paint from this location for quite some time now. The shelves are packed with cans and it smells like lacquer and thinners most of the time. It’s a small space, but we’ve managed to fit a lot into it. We spend our days mixing colors and helping people figure out what they need for their houses or shops. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific shade, but we look through the catalogs and do our best. Shradhanand Marg is a tight road, so getting deliveries in can be a bit of a headache with all the traffic. We usually get everything unloaded early in the morning before the rush starts. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a counter, some stools, and lots of paint cans. People come in with chips of old paint or just an idea of what they want. We talk it through and get them sorted. It’s a simple life here in the shop. We’ve seen the seasons change and the buildings around us get older, but we’re still here doing the same thing. It’s not a glamorous job, but it feels good to help someone brighten up their place with a new coat of paint.
