Solar Biotech Inc

You can find Solar Biotech Inc up on the 3rd floor of Optek House, which is located at 30/29 East Patel Nagar. It’s a bit of a climb up those stairs every morning, but the view of the street from the top isn't too bad. We’ve got a small setup here where we mix our interest in solar energy with some basic biotech projects. It’s a bit of an unusual combination, we know, but it’s what keeps us interested in coming to work. The office is pretty packed with old journals, some solar cells, and various bits of testing equipment that we’ve picked up over the years. We aren’t a giant company with a huge laboratory; it’s more like a workshop where we try things out to see if they actually work. Most of our days are spent checking on samples or looking at how different lights affect plant growth. It’s quiet up here compared to the busy streets of East Patel Nagar below. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anyone to greet you at the door. Usually, whoever is closest just gets up when they hear a knock. We started this place because we wanted to do something that felt useful, even if it’s just on a small scale. There are always stacks of papers everywhere and sometimes we lose track of our coffee mugs among the equipment. We just keep at it, one day at a time.
