Shori Lal & Sons

Shori Lal & Sons has been based in Anand Parbat for a long time now. We are tucked away in Gali number 10, specifically at Kn/A-1. If you know this part of Delhi, you know the lanes are narrow and always full of activity. It’s an old area with a lot of history. Our shop is just like the others around here—functional and busy. We don’t have a lot of room to spare, so we have to be smart about how we stack things. The noise from the other workshops in the lane is just something we live with. It’s the sound of people working. We spend our days handling whatever comes through the door. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s usually a few of us around. We don't go in for big advertisements or fancy signs. Our name is painted on the wall, and that’s enough for most people to find us. The tea stall at the corner is where we usually end up for our breaks. It’s a tough environment sometimes, especially when it’s raining and the lanes get muddy, but we've been here so long it feels like home. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. There’s no corporate ladder here, just us and the work we’ve been doing for years in Anand Parbat. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we’re okay with that. We plan to keep it going for many more years right in this same spot and hope the traffic doesn't get any worse.
