Our Delhi office for Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd. is on the first floor of Wz-256/D1 in Inderpuri. The pin code is 110012. Inderpuri is a busy, crowded neighborhood. Being on the first floor means we can see everything happening on the street below. It’s a typical Delhi setup with lots of wires and narrow stairs. The office isn't very large. We have our desks pushed close together. There’s always the sound of traffic and horns outside. It can be a bit distracting, but you get used to it after a week. We don't have a lot of space for extra stuff, so everything is tucked away in corners. It’s a very functional environment. We focus on our daily logs and coordination. The summers in Delhi are brutal, so we have a small AC unit that tries its best to keep the room bearable. Most of us take turns going down to the local market to get tea or snacks. It’s a very urban, fast-paced atmosphere compared to our other locations. We aren't here to impress anyone with a lobby or a receptionist. We just have a door with the company name on it. People come here to discuss the local projects and then they head back out into the city. It’s just how we operate in this part of town. We are right in the thick of things and that keeps us moving. No fancy talk, just work.
