Sed Foundation

We are up on the fifth floor at Philips Cghs in Dwarka Sector-23. Sed Foundation is basically run out of this apartment, A-502. It’s a quiet spot, which is great because it gets us away from the main road noise. Being in a residential complex means we have to be a bit careful about how much noise we make, especially when we have meetings. The lift works most of the time, thank goodness, because walking up five floors every day would be a lot. From the window, you can see quite a bit of South West Delhi. It’s a nice view when you need a break from looking at the computer screen. We have a small team here. Usually, it’s just two or three of us. The rooms are filled with folders and old records of projects we've done over the years. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy like that. If the bell rings, one of us just gets up and opens the door. It’s a very informal way to run a foundation, but it works for us. We spend our days mostly on emails and talking to partners. Sometimes it feels like we’re just another family living in the building, except we’re actually working on social development stuff. It’s a humble setup, but we get the job done without any fuss. We usually have lunch together and talk about things other than work to keep our sanity.
