Satyam Shiksha Abhiyan Foundation

You can find us at B-43 in Kailash Colony. It’s a well-known neighborhood in South Delhi, and we’ve been based out of this spot for a while. The Satyam Shiksha Abhiyan Foundation is basically just a group of us trying to help kids with their schooling. We aren't a massive institution with thousands of employees. It's more of a local effort where we sit around a big table and figure out how to get books or clothes to students who need them. The office is in a residential area, so it’s pretty calm most of the time. We like being in 110048 because it’s central and people can reach us easily. There’s always someone dropping by with a question or a donation. We don’t really do marketing or anything like that. Most people hear about us through word of mouth. Sometimes the internet goes down or the printer stops working, and we just have to deal with it like anyone else. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don’t spend much on decorations because we’d rather put that toward the kids. It’s not always easy keeping everything running, but we have a good rhythm now. It’s just about showing up every morning and doing the work that needs to be done. We’re just regular people trying to make things a little better for the students around here as best as we can.
