Our office is in the Namdhari Chamber, which is located at 115, D. B. Gupta Road in Karol Bagh. If you know Karol Bagh, you know it’s a whirlwind of activity. The building is quite old and the hallways are a bit narrow and dark. We’re in room 115, and it’s a modest space. We have desks pushed against the walls to make as much room as possible for the samples we keep. It’s a bit of a cluttered place, but it’s an organized kind of mess. We don't have a fancy lobby or a coffee machine that makes cappuccinos. We just have a kettle and some tea bags in the drawer. The noise from D. B. Gupta Road is always there in the background—horns, people shouting, and the general roar of the city. We’ve got a couple of big windows, but they’re usually covered by the sample racks. Most of our work involves a lot of talking and checking on orders. We aren't a big corporate firm; we’re just a small group of people working together. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do, and we’ll order some food from the place downstairs. It’s a very grounded, practical way of working. We don't go in for big mission statements or anything like that. We just want to make sure our work is done properly and the bills are paid. It’s a typical Karol Bagh business—fast-paced and no-nonsense.
