Naiwala in Karol Bagh is famous for one thing, and that is parts. Sahni Auto Parts is located at 29/1559 right in the thick of it. If you have ever been to Naiwala, you know how packed the lanes are. There are bikes parked everywhere and people carrying engines or wheels on their shoulders. Our shop at 29/1559 is full of shelves from floor to ceiling. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a mountain of metal to anyone else. It gets quite hot in the narrow streets during the afternoon. We usually sit on small stools near the front so we can see who is coming. There is always someone asking for a specific bolt or a cable. We don't do much talking besides what is needed for the parts. It is a busy life. Sometimes we eat our lunch standing up because there is no space to sit down when customers are there. The walls of 29/1559 are covered in old posters and lists of parts we need to order. It is a real local spot. People come to Karol Bagh because they know they can find what they need, and we are just here at our bit of the street doing our part. It is noisy and crowded, but it is home for us during the day. We have gotten used to the noise and the dust over the many years we have been working here in Naiwala.
