About Retirement (India) Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Central Delhi
Retirement (India) Foundation is over on Taskand Marg in Civil Lines. We are on the third floor of Aditi Apartment, at 52/42. Civil Lines has that old Delhi feel to it, with more trees and a bit more space than some of the other colonies. Our office is a bit of a walk up, but the building is sturdy. It’s a quiet place to work, which is good because we deal with a lot of detailed paperwork. We aren’t a corporate giant; we are just a small group of people working out of a flat. The rooms are filled with folders and notebooks. We don't have fancy furniture or a modern layout. Everything we have is because it’s useful. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we take the stairs, which keeps us moving. Our daily routine is pretty standard—get in, check the messages, and start working through the pile on the desk. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just know what needs to be finished by the end of the day. Working in Civil Lines is nice because it’s a bit calmer, and we can actually hear ourselves think. It’s a practical location for the foundation, and we’ve settled into a comfortable rhythm here over the years, just doing the work that comes our way.
