Residence Cum Clinic

Our place is at 2/7 Roop Nagar in Kamla Nagar. It’s a residence cum clinic, which means we live here too. This part of Delhi is always very busy with students and people shopping, but our street is slightly tucked away. We’ve been in this building for many years. The clinic itself is just a couple of rooms on the ground floor. It’s got a small desk where we take down names and a waiting area that fits about five or six people comfortably. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when the market traffic picks up outside. We handle basic health checkups and advice for the local families. Being in Kamla Nagar, we get a lot of regulars who have lived here as long as we have. It’s not a corporate setup at all. There aren't any big signs or fancy lighting. We just have a small nameplate outside. The rooms are clean and we have the usual equipment like a blood pressure monitor and a scale. Sometimes the parking is a nightmare on this road, so most people just walk over. I usually open up in the morning after breakfast. It’s a simple life running a clinic from home. We don’t have a receptionist, so you just come in and wait your turn. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but it seems to work for the people around here.
