Rathi Emporio

If you look for 2372, you will find us up on the first floor. This is where Rathi Emporio is set up. Being on the first floor means people have to walk up the stairs to see us, so it’s a bit quieter than being right on the sidewalk. We have a fair amount of space up here, which we use to display everything we have. The lighting isn't always perfect, but we try to keep it bright enough so people can see what they are looking at. We spend a lot of our time rearranging the items on the racks or the shelves. When you work in an emporio, there is always something that needs to be refolded or put back in its proper place. The floor is mostly tiled, and you can hear the sound of footsteps echoing a bit when it’s not too crowded. We have a small desk near the back where we keep the ledger and handle the payments. It’s not a high-tech system, just a simple way to keep track of what goes out. Some days the stairs feel a bit long, especially when we are carrying new boxes of stock up. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name and the address. It’s a straightforward shop where we show up, open the doors, and wait for the day to start. We’ve gotten used to the peculiar layout of the room over the years we’ve been here.
