Raman Auto Industries

Raman Auto Industries is tucked away in Gali No 4 of Anand Parbat. The address is 31 P/6 and it is a typical industrial setup for this part of Delhi. The sound of metal hitting metal is what you hear first when you walk down our lane. We have a few machines running most of the day, making different auto components that usually end up in bigger assembly lines somewhere else. It gets incredibly hot in the workshop during the summer, even with the big industrial fans blowing air around. The floors are concrete and stained with oil, and there are metal shavings in the corners that we have to sweep up every few hours. We don't really have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a small corner with a desk where the paperwork gets handled and a phone that rings quite a bit. Working in Anand Parbat means dealing with narrow roads and a lot of dust from all the nearby manufacturing units. Most of the guys working here have been around for a while and they know the rhythm of the machines by heart. We just focus on getting the daily orders done and making sure the dimensions are right so nothing gets sent back. It is basic, honest work. By the time we shut down the power at the end of the shift, everyone is pretty tired, but we come back and do it again the next day without fail.
