Raju General Store

Our shop is right here in Burari Village, specifically at Gali Number 5 in Tomer Colony, B-1. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads. We started this store to serve the people living right on this street and the ones nearby. We carry the daily essentials, like bread, eggs, flour, and spices. It isn’t a massive supermarket, just a local place where you can grab what you forgot to buy earlier. The shelves are mostly full, though sometimes we run out of things if the delivery truck is late. We know most of our customers by name since they live just a few doors down. It’s a family-run kind of thing. My kids sometimes help out with the inventory after school, or my wife sits at the counter while I’m away at the wholesaler. We don't have fancy lights or a big display window. It’s just a shutter and some racks inside. We keep the ledger on the desk to track what's coming in and going out. Life in Burari is steady, and our shop reflects that. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use a torch to find the right soap for a customer, but we make do. It’s an honest way to earn a living, and we like being part of the colony. We’ve been at this for a long time now and don't plan on moving anywhere else.
