Prompt Impex

Prompt Impex is located in the Regal Building, at 44/6, right above the Standard Restaurant in Connaught Place. Being in CP means we are in one of the most famous parts of Delhi. The building is an old one, with high ceilings and wide corridors that remind you of how things used to be. You can usually smell the food from the restaurant downstairs, especially around lunchtime when they start frying things. Our office is up the stairs, and it’s a mix of old architecture and the practical items we need for our import-export work. We have large windows that look out onto the street, though we usually keep them shut because of the dust and the noise from the crowds below. The office is often full of samples and boxes, making it a bit of a maze to walk through. We don't have a modern open-plan layout; instead, it’s a series of smaller rooms where we keep our files and computers. Our staff consists of a few people who have been commuting to CP for years. They know all the shortcuts and the best places to get a quick snack. We don't bother with corporate branding or expensive signage. Most people know where the Regal Building is, so we just tell them to look for the restaurant and head upstairs. It’s a busy, somewhat messy, but very real place to work every day.
