Promise Social & Cultural Welfare Foundation

Promise Social & Cultural Welfare Foundation operates out of Shop No-7 and 8 on the ground floor in Freedom Fighter Colony. We are right on the Main Ignou Road in New Delhi. Being on the ground floor is handy because we don’t have to deal with stairs and people can just walk right in from the street. The area is usually humming with students and locals going about their business. Our space is basically two shops joined together, so it's a bit long and narrow. We have some shelves filled with files and a few posters on the walls that have been there since we moved in. It’s not a polished corporate office, but it works for what we do. We mostly focus on local stuff, trying to help out with social and cultural things that pop up in the community. Sometimes the traffic on Ignou Road is so loud we have to shout to hear each other, but that’s just part of being in this part of town. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. If someone needs us, they usually just drop by or call someone who knows us. We’ve been here long enough that most of the shopkeepers nearby know our names. We just try to be useful and keep the place running day by day. It’s honest work and we don’t try to make it sound like it is more important than it really is.
