Sai Advertising

Our shop is number 230 in Pitampura Village. It’s a bit of an older part of the area, and the streets are narrow, so we don’t get many big cars coming right to the door. Sai Advertising is where we make all sorts of signs and boards. We have a large table in the middle of the room where we lay out vinyl sheets or paint different backgrounds. The floor is usually covered in little bits of cut-off stickers and drops of dried paint. It’s a small shop, and sometimes the smell of the glue or the ink can be quite strong, so we keep the door open to let the air in. We have samples of our work hanging on the walls, mostly just things we did for the neighbors or local shops in the village. We use an old computer to get the designs right before we start the physical work. It’s not a fancy studio with air conditioning; it’s just a place where we get our hands dirty making things. People from the village often stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question while we are working. We don’t have set hours that are strictly followed; if there’s a job to finish, we just stay until it’s done. It’s a simple way of working, and we like being part of the local community here in Pitampura. We just take things one day at a time and do what we know.
