If you walk down Gali Number 21 in Patel Nagar, you’ll find us at 2629/B. It’s a bit of a crowded street, but that’s just how this part of town is. We have stacks of boxes everywhere because of all the toys. We’ve got stuff for little kids and some things for the older ones too. It’s a small place, so we have to pile things up high to fit everything in. Sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what you’re looking for right away, but we usually know which corner it’s tucked into. We see a lot of parents coming in looking for birthday gifts or just something to keep their kids quiet for a bit. We don’t have those fancy displays like the big malls do. It’s more of a local neighborhood shop feel here. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit now. Some of the kids who used to come in for small cars are grown up now. We try to keep things simple and just sell what people want. There’s always plastic robots, dolls, and board games sitting around. The floor is usually a bit dusty from the street outside, but the toys are fine. It gets loud when the schools let out and everyone starts walking past. We just keep the shutters up and wait for the next person to walk in. It's a decent life, being surrounded by toys all day. We keep the shop open late most days because that’s when people are coming home from work and remember they promised something.
