About Nirjyoti Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Central Delhi
Started this Nirjyoti Foundation thing from our spot at B-396 in JJ Colony Camp No-2. Nangloi is a crowded place, usually pretty noisy with everyone going about their day. We've been here a while. There wasn't some big grand plan or anything, just a few of us thinking we should probably get organized to do some good around the block. It’s a small operation. We use the house as the main point for everything. Sometimes the mail gets mixed up because the numbering in Nangloi can be a bit of a headache for the postman. We don't have fancy desks or a lobby. It's just a room with some chairs where we sit and figure out what needs to happen next. Most people around here know us by name anyway. It’s more of a neighborhood effort than a big organization. If you walk down the lane near Camp 2, you’ll find us easily enough. The weather gets really hot in the summers, so we usually get most of our work done early in the morning before it becomes unbearable outside. We don't spend money on posters or big ads because that feels like a waste. Instead, we just talk to folks. It’s simple. We try to keep things moving along without making a fuss. The foundation is basically just an extension of what we were already doing in our spare time. Nothing more, nothing less. It stays real that way.
