Nipunata Jyotirpunj Foundation

The Nipunata Jyotirpunj Foundation is located at 23A on the top floor in Laxmi Nagar Extension. We are right on Murti Wali Gali in East Delhi. Finding the place can be a bit tricky if you’re not used to the narrow lanes around here, but once you find the right turn, it’s easy enough. Being on the top floor means there are a lot of steps to climb, which definitely keeps us in shape. The office itself is quite small and can get pretty hot during the summer months, but we have a few fans that help. We don't have a big team or any fancy equipment. It’s just a couple of us working at old desks with piles of paper everywhere. We spend most of our time on the phone or meeting with people from the community. Laxmi Nagar is a very busy and noisy area, so there is always a lot of sound coming in from the street. We’ve gotten used to it over time. We don't have a professional cleaning crew, so we handle the dusting and tidying up ourselves. It’s a humble setup, but it works for what we need. We don't have any corporate branding or expensive signs. We just have our name on the door and our files in order. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have visitors, but we always manage to find a chair for everyone. We’re just local people doing what we can from our small corner of Delhi.
