Our shop is located at 1771/53 on Hardhyan Singh Road in Karol Bagh. If you know the area, you know it’s the place to go for anything related to vehicles. We’ve been operating as Modi Auto Agencies here for a long time. The street is always packed with rickshaws and delivery bikes, so getting things in and out is always a bit of a challenge. Inside, we have stacks of boxes reaching almost to the ceiling. It’s a bit organized, but only we really know where everything is kept. If a customer asks for something specific, we usually have to climb a ladder to find it. We deal with all sorts of engine parts and accessories. It's not a glamorous job, just a lot of checking invoices and talking to suppliers. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to actually read the newspaper. We have a small bench outside where regulars sit and talk while they wait for their orders to be packed. We try to keep things simple. No fancy displays or bright lights, just the parts people need to get their cars back on the road. The afternoon sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard, so we usually have the shutter halfway down to keep the heat out. It’s just a normal daily routine for us, nothing special, just keeping the business going one day after another and making sure we have the right stock for whoever comes by next.
