Metro Watch Co

If you walk down Ajmal Khan Road in Karol Bagh, you’ll find us at 13/9 in the WEA area. Metro Watch Co has been in this spot for years, tucked away while the whole neighborhood changed around us. The shop isn't very wide, so if three customers come in at once, it starts feeling a bit crowded. We spend most of our time hunched over small tables with those little magnifying glasses stuck in our eyes. It’s quiet work, mostly changing out dead batteries or fixing a strap that’s finally given up. You can hear the ticking of dozens of clocks on the walls if you stand still long enough, though the Karol Bagh traffic usually drowns that out. The glass cases are full of all sorts of watches, some old and some newer, but nothing too flashy. We get a lot of regulars who’ve been bringing their timepieces here since they were kids. It’s a bit of a squeeze behind the counter with all the spare parts and tiny screwdrivers. Sometimes the light isn't the best in the evenings, but we manage. It’s just a steady life of fixing things that people rely on every day. We don't have fancy displays or bright neon signs. It’s just the shop on the road where people know they can get their watch looked at without any fuss. The old wooden door still creaks every time someone enters, which lets us know we have company.
