Warehousing Express

Up on the second floor of Plot No. B-5 in Patparganj, things stay pretty busy most days. We are tucked away in Gali No. 13 in the IP Extension area, which is a part of town that never really seems to get a quiet moment. If you've ever tried to navigate these lanes during the afternoon rush, you know exactly what it's like. Our space here at Warehousing Express is filled with stacks of items waiting to go somewhere else. It is not some fancy corporate showroom with glass walls and silent hallways. Instead, it’s a working floor where the tape dispensers are always making that loud zipping sound and the ceiling fans are usually spinning as fast as they can to keep the air moving. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure the boxes are stacked right so they don’t tip over. The stairs up to our floor are a bit steep, but you get used to them after the first few trips of the day. Sometimes the guys from the nearby shops come by for a quick chat, or we just listen to the traffic noise filtering in from the street below. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do here. It is just a lot of physical work, keeping track of inventory, and making sure the trucks get loaded before it gets too late in the evening. Most of us have been working in this area for a while now, so we know the local rhythm well.
