We have been here at 6961/2 Yog Maya in the Nabi Karim area for a long time now. Most people around Paharganj know where to find us. It is a busy spot. The shop stays quite packed with all sorts of things people need for their homes. Shelves are just full of goods without any fancy displays. Sometimes the boxes pile up near the door when the new stock comes in and things get a bit crowded. My family helps out with the daily work. Neighbors are known by name around here. If someone is looking for something specific and it is buried in the back, we go find it. Life in Pahar Ganj is fast. People stop by on their way home. It’s a simple setup. Opening early in the morning is part of the routine. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but it keeps the heat away. Daily essentials like soap and grains are kept on hand. It isn't a huge place but we make it work. Most days are the same, just keeping the inventory sorted. We keep the doors open and wait for the regulars to come in for their weekly things. It is a regular shop where you can get what you need without a fuss. No advertising is done. People just know we are here. That is how it has always been for us. I spend many hours just leaning on the counter watching the street.
