Leather Point

We are up on the first floor, Shop No. 10667, in the Nabi Karim area. It’s right on Jhandewallan Road, not far from the Shanker Piao landmark. If you’ve been to this part of town, you know it’s the heart of the leather trade. The smell of leather is everywhere here, and our shop is no different. It’s a busy, gritty neighborhood where everyone is always moving something or selling something. We keep a lot of stock in the shop, so it’s pretty full from floor to ceiling. You might have to wait a minute if we’re busy moving heavy bundles around. It’s not a fancy boutique with soft lights and mirrors. We have plain tube lights and a hard concrete floor. We deal with all sorts of people, from big buyers to someone just looking for a single piece of material for a project. The traffic on Jhandewallan Road can be a real nightmare, so we’re used to the constant sound of horns and shouting from the street below. We’ve been in this building for years, and we know every corner of it. It’s a bit of a maze to get up here the first time, but once you’re inside, we just get straight to the point. We don’t have much time for fancy talk when there’s work to be done. It’s a practical place for people who need real products. We stay until the work is finished, usually late into the evening. It is what it is.
