KGD architecture

Being located in Connaught Place at D-21 means we are right in the middle of all the chaos, which is both a good thing and a bit of a headache. The building has that old Delhi charm, but the stairs are quite steep and can be a real climb if you aren't used to them. We have been at KGD architecture for a good while now, and the office is usually filled with the sound of old fans and people clicking away on their keyboards. CP is always noisy, so there is this constant background sound of traffic and people shouting outside that we have just grown to accept. We have some large drafting tables pushed against the windows and a lot of old folders that really need sorting one of these days. It is not a modern corporate glass building at all; it feels much more like a lived-in workshop. We spend a lot of our time looking at site plans and having long discussions about where a specific window should be placed. Lunch is usually someone bringing in home-cooked food or a few of us heading out to grab something fast from a nearby street stall. It is a decent place to work, even if the power goes out once in a while during the peak of summer. We don't have a PR person or a fancy office manager, so what you see is basically what you get. We just focus on the drawings and make sure measurements are right.
