Kayantar Foundation

We are based in Pratap Nagar, right in Galli No 18 of Mayur Vihar Phase 1. It’s a typical Delhi street, narrow and full of life. Our address is 179 A, and it’s a place we know inside out. We spend our days here dealing with all sorts of small things that add up. It’s not a corporate headquarters by any means. It’s more like a home that turned into an office over time. There are always tea cups sitting around and stacks of newspapers from the last few days. We don't have a polished way of doing things. We just do them as they come up. If someone calls, we answer. If someone visits, we sit down and talk. It’s a very direct way of working. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time, so we know most of the people who walk past our door. We don't try to sound like a big organization. We are just a small group of people working out of a small space in East Delhi. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic, and things get misplaced, but we always find them in the end. It’s an honest way to live and work. We don't have any big marketing speeches. We just show up every day, open the door, and get to work on whatever is waiting for us. It’s a lot of manual tracking and writing things down by hand, but it works for us.
