Karan E Rickshaw Spare Parts is our shop located at Number 993 on the ground floor of Shivaji Street No. 2. We’re right on Hardhyan Singh Marg, tucked in behind the Federal Bank and near the Hanuman Ji Murti. If you’ve ever been to Nai Walan, you know it’s a crazy busy market for vehicle parts. We basically live and breathe e-rickshaws here. Every day is a cycle of opening up the shutters and dealing with drivers who need their vehicles back on the road fast. Their livelihood depends on it, so we try to have whatever part they need right on the shelf. The street is always narrow and crowded with people and scooters. Our shop is small, but it’s full of batteries, motors, and wires. We don't have any fancy chairs for people to sit on; usually, customers just stand at the counter while we dig through the back for a part. It’s a lot of grease and metal. We don't do any big advertising because the rickshaw drivers all talk to each other and tell people where to go. We’ve been here for a while and we know the regulars. It’s a tough business because the competition is everywhere, but we just focus on our own shop and getting the right parts to the right people. It’s loud, it’s dusty, and it’s home for us in Delhi every day.
