Kaamgarsaina Foundation

You can find the Kaamgarsaina Foundation over at House No 139 A on the ground floor in Block VP of Pitampura. Being on the ground floor makes it easier for people to just walk in from the street without having to climb stairs. Pitampura is a big place, but we’ve settled into this little corner of the city. Our office is pretty basic. We have a few desks, some benches for people to sit on, and a lot of tea being made throughout the day. It’s a place where workers often stop by. We focus on things that matter to the local labor force and people living in the block. It’s not glamorous work. A lot of it is just sitting around a table and talking through problems or filling out forms that seem to never end. We started this because we saw how much struggle there was right outside our own doors. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just maybe help a few people in Pitampura get by a bit easier. Some days are loud with people talking over each other, and other days it’s just the sound of the fan overhead. We don't have a polished way of doing things. We just do it. If a neighbor has an issue, they come here. We listen and we see what can be done. It’s how we’ve always operated and how we plan to stay.
