This is our small unit in Anand Parbat, located at Gali No 4, 4/35B-3/K. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but once you’ve been here, you don't forget it. The street is always full of iron scraps and people moving heavy things. We spend our days dealing with auto parts. It’s dusty work, and there’s always something that needs to be moved from one side of the room to the other. I usually wear an old shirt because you can't stay clean here for long. We have a few shelves that are sagging under the weight of the inventory. Every morning, I sweep the floor, but by noon, the dust is back. That’s just the way it is in an industrial area like this. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of old ceiling fans that wobble a bit when they are on high. We drink a lot of water from the clay pot in the corner to stay cool. The people in the next shop are good friends, and we often share a newspaper in the morning. Sometimes a customer comes in looking for something we don't have, and we try to point them to another shop in the lane. It’s a busy life, and there isn't much time for sitting around. By the time evening rolls around, my back usually aches a bit, but it feels good to have done a full day of work.
