The Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research is based out of No 3 1/9 Roop Nagar, right near the G.T. Road. It might sound like a big, formal institution, but our daily reality is much more grounded than you might think. We work out of a modest office where the main sound is the clicking of keyboards and the distant hum of traffic from the G.T. Road. Our work involves a lot of reading and checking through various research papers that get sent to us. It’s a lot of desk work, honestly. We aren't a giant publishing house with hundreds of employees in fancy suits. We are a smaller team that puts in the hours to get each issue out on time. Roop Nagar is a decent area to work in, even if it gets a bit crowded with people and cars sometimes. We spend our days communicating with researchers and making sure everything is in order before it gets printed. It’s a lot of back-and-forth emails and careful proofreading of tables and text. We don't have any polished corporate speeches about our goals. We just want to get the research out there correctly for people to read. Sometimes the stacks of paper on our desks get a bit out of control, but we manage to find what we need eventually. It’s a practical, hardworking environment. We’ve been at this G.T. Road location for a while, and it’s become our second home.
