This little lane can be easy to miss if you aren't looking closely, but it is a busy little spot once you are inside. Darya Ganj is famous for books, and our corner of it is no different. We handle a lot of distribution, so there is always a lot of packing and unpacking going on. Boxes are usually stacked up near the entrance, and there is a constant flow of delivery guys moving things back and forth. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s a working warehouse and office space. We focus on getting books to the people who need them. The air in the gali always feels a bit tight, especially when the weather is hot, but that is just life in Old Delhi. We don't spend much time on fancy talk or trying to impress people with big words. We just know our inventory and try to get the orders right. It can get pretty chaotic during the peak seasons when new books are coming out, but we managed to find our own rhythm over the years. Being a distributor means you see a lot of different titles pass through your hands. It is a hands-on job that keeps us on our feet from morning until the shutters go down in the evening.
