If you go down Gali No 2 in Anand Parbat, you’ll find us at A-4. This is Jain Seals Industries. Being in an industrial area, it’s always got that smell of grease and metal. We make seals and gaskets here. It’s not a quiet office; it’s a workshop with machines running and the sound of tools hitting metal. We have sheets of rubber and different types of polymers lying around. Most of our day is spent at the machines, making sure the cuts are right for whatever order we’re working on. We get a lot of specific requests from other factories that need a very particular size of seal. It’s precision work, even if the floor is a bit dirty and the walls could use some paint. We wear our work clothes and don’t worry much about how things look as long as the products are right. The lighting inside is a bit dim, but we have lamps over the workspaces. It gets quite loud when all the machines are going at once, so we don't talk much during those times. We just get the job done and pack the orders into boxes for delivery. It’s a tough environment, especially when it gets hot in the summer, but we’re used to it. We’ve been in Anand Parbat for a long time and know most of the other shop owners around here. It’s just a place where things get made.
