Jain Book Depot

Jain Book Depot has been a fixture in Connaught Place for a very long time. You can find us at C 4, right in the heart of the city. We are situated directly opposite PVR Plaza Cinemas, which makes us a very easy spot to find if you are walking around the inner circle. CP is always humming with energy, from tourists taking photos to office workers grabbing lunch. Our shop is a place where people can escape the noise for a bit and look through rows and rows of books. We have a lot of different subjects, but we don't try to act like we know everything. We just keep the shelves stocked and help people find what they are looking for. The building itself has that classic white-pillared look that CP is known for. Inside, it is a bit more crowded because we try to fit as many books as possible into the space. It’s not uncommon to see someone standing in an aisle lost in a book for half an hour. We don't have any corporate slogans or big missions. We are just a bookshop that has been here through all the changes in Delhi. Some people come in because they remember visiting with their parents years ago. We like that feeling of being a local landmark. It is a simple business, really—just people, paper, and the busy streets of Delhi right outside our door.
