Jagsukh Relief Foundation

We are located at 2039 S/F in Chuna Mandi, which is right in the heart of Pahar Ganj. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know it’s always moving and always loud. Our office is tucked away in one of those narrow streets where the smell of street food is always in the air. It’s a small space, really. We share it with a lot of boxes and a very old filing cabinet that squeaks every time you open it. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. We spend our days trying to coordinate things for people who need a bit of help. It’s mostly phone work and writing things down in ledgers. We prefer keeping things old-school because it’s what we know. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven’t found the time to do it yet. Sometimes the electricity goes out, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a very grounded way of working. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us who care about the neighborhood. We drink a lot of chai and try to stay organized despite the chaos of Pahar Ganj outside our window. It’s just how we operate. We don't have fancy titles or big meetings. We just sit here and do the work.
