J S Auto Parts

J S Auto Parts is our small shop at 1194/6 on Hari Singh Nalwa Street in Karol Bagh. It is a busy little corner of the world. Every morning, we roll up the shutters and start putting out some of the parts so people can see we are open and ready for the day. The street is narrow and there is always someone trying to squeeze a rickshaw or a bike past the entrance. We have lived around here and worked in this shop for a long time. It is full of shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, packed with all sorts of things. We use a small wooden ladder to reach the stuff at the very top. It is not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is kept. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is just written down in our old ledgers. It feels more real that way to us. We get a lot of people coming in asking for advice on their cars or bikes. We just tell them what we have in stock and what we think. The air is always full of the smell of rubber and metal parts. We like the bustle of Karol Bagh. Even when it is raining and the street gets muddy and difficult to walk on, we stay here at 1194/6. It is just what we do. There is no big story to it, just a local shop doing its thing day after day.
